Development story
"Hasegawa's Top Scorer"
During the economic bubble, as the world experienced a period of prosperity, Hasegawa Machinery focused on specialized machine production as one of its main pillars.
However, after the bubble burst, the profitability of producing specialized machines from scratch became challenging.
Amid the economic downturn, the company's president at the time deeply pondered over Hasegawa Machinery's strengths.
Ultimately, they decided to shift their main focus to small-sized, high-precision NC lathes.
The year 1992 marked the establishment of the J-League in Japan, and with the aspiration to represent Japan's small-sized machine tools, they named this new series the J-Series.
To specialize in small-sized, high-precision machines, they emphasized the following points:
Adopting the difficult-to-produce double-V slide to extend the period of precision maintenance.
Using high-quality Meehanite cast iron for the slide.
Employing a symmetrical and highly rigid cast iron bed capable of handling micro-order to hard-turning processing.
Fortunately, the J-Series achieved tremendous success, accumulating a track record of delivering thousands of units and becoming Hasegawa's star product.
